District Governors may make nominations for the Rotary Award for Excellence in Service to Humanity starting on March 1st and may be received through the end of that month. The award recognizes non-Rotarians who have demonstrated exemplary humanitarian service through Rotary. Partners and spouses of Rotarians are eligible. The people selected for the award will receive an engraved crystal and lapel pin. Contact riawards@rotary.org with any questions.
Action steps you can take:
- Publicize the award in your club and district newsletters;
- If you’re the governor, solicit the names of outstanding non-Rotarians who might be nominated;
- If you’re not, tell your governor about someone who has made life better for others.
