Membership isn’t just the responsibility of club and district membership chairpersons, but should be a high priority for every district leader. There are tools available to help combat membership attrition, including hosting learning events, reviewing membership statistics with club presidents, and challenging them to use the available resources. District Governors-Elect can start developing their plan now and include some or all of these elements:
- Hold learning seminars and visit each club early in the Rotary year;
- Discuss and use past and current membership statistics to help each club set specific membership goals;
- Encourage every member to propose, select, and engage in service projects of interest to them.
